During the assembly, the students observed World Heritage Day with great enthusiasm. They delivered a speech highlighting the importance of preserving our heritage and also shared the 2026 theme of World Heritage Day, “Emergency Response for Living Heritage in Contexts of Conflicts and Disasters.” Selected by ICOMOS, the theme focuses on safeguarding cultural sites, traditions, and intangible heritage from threats such as armed conflicts and natural disasters.

The speech was followed by an engaging quiz and a pledge taken by the students. As responsible global citizens, we should all strive to protect and preserve the heritage sites of India and the world.
